We spend a lot of quality time with our animals. Visitors are amazed at how gentle these animals really are. They win you over with their pleasant demeanor's and beautiful faces.

Male Suri Barn Site Female Suri Barn Site We simply have to show off our Joslin. She is the matriarch, grandmother, and mother of most of our herd. Webster's describes a matriarch as "a woman who rules or dominates a family, group, or state; specifically: a mother who is head and ruler of her family and descendants". She was exactly that! Our dear Joslin was 23 years old.	The Alpaca Industry is the right place to meet wonderful sincere people that share a passion for what they do. 3PSuri has only been involved for a short time and we have met and befriended people from all over the U.S. Allow us to introduce ourselves, we are Gil, Linda. and Gregg Poppenhagen. We started our search on the Internet, similar to what you are doing now. The Alpaca Industry called out to us. Through our search we were lucky enough to meet the Morgan's of J4 Alpacas; this is where our Alpacas are currently kept. The arrangement produced good friends, sharing knowledge, and with their guidance we became a part of the Alpaca Industry and inner-circles of it. Gregg is our son. He has gotten into the business as well. He currently owns five alpaca's. Lolly, her son Diesel, her daughter May, Barbara Jean and Rosie. He has such a special relationship with all of 3P's alpacas. Gregg is a natural leader and animals want to cooperate with him. Even when they don't want to cooperate with anyone else, Gregg gets the job done. "We are so proud of him." Our next blessing was being introduced to Mike & Barb Ford. We now own their herd. They too shared their experience and knowledge with us. They helped guide us in making good informed decisions about our Suri herd. Right now we are located in Skokie, Illinois. We are in the process of getting our farm ready in the mountains of Waynesville, NC for future operations. The rollings hills are perfect for Alpacas and we are anxious to get things in full swing in the near future. Our herd is growing, and we can now boast to having several award winning juvenile male and female Alpacas. We are constantly striving to improve our bloodlines. At 3PSuri we take pride in careful select breeding and making sure there are no common ancestors between the animals. That is why we can say Proven, Pedigree, Perfection.
